Multistage waveplates made of quartz or MgF₂ materials can be provided (standard products are all made of quartz materials), and the operating wavelength can be any wavelength between 150-7000nm.
The low-order waveplate is composed of a single piece of quartz or MgF₂ crystal. The required phase delay is obtained through the different optical path differences between the ordinary ray (O-ray) and the extraordinary ray (E-ray) of the crystal. Compared with the zero-order waveplate, the low-order waveplate has a simple structure and a lower cost, making it suitable for industrial applications with large quantities. Due to its single-piece structure, the low-order waveplate has a very high damage threshold.
